     February signifies Valentine's Day, and, of course, love and romance.  For those of you who are in a good relationship, you may want to freshen up your union by showing your companion that you appreciate, care about, and love him/her.

     For those of you who are not in a good relationship, this may be a good time to move on, close the door on the unhealthy union, and move into a good relationship.

     And for those of you who are unattached and don't want to be, this may be the time to move into a meaningful, healthy union.

     Here are a few ideas to ponder if you're thinking about moving into a new relationship.  #1.  Like does attract like: the earth signs attract earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), water signs attract water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces), etc.  #2.  Opposites attract: Leo-Aquarius, Virgo-Pisces, etc.  #3.  The combinations of earth-water and air-fire are generally long-lasting, meaningful relationships.  #4.  Listed below are a few of each sun sign's positive characteristics. You might want to ask yourself if you like or are comfortable with the qualities of the person or sign you are contemplating "mingling" with.

     In addition to some of each sun sign's positive characteristics listed below are also each sun sign's favorite color and a few of the things they like, just in case you want to give him/her "a token of your affection."

 1 Aries, fire sign, opposite is Libra:  Arians are creative, energetic, and self-assertive.  Their favorite colors are green, red, and yellow.  And they enjoy aloe plants, chocolate covered and/or roasted nuts, and gladiolus flowers.

 2  Taurus, earth sign, opposite is Scorpio:  Taureans are good-natured, patient, and tenacious.  Their favorite colors are green, lavender, and pink.  And they love almonds, chocolate covered mints, copper items, and daffodil flowers.

 3  Gemini, air sign, opposite is Sagittarius:   Geminians are fun-loving, knowledgeable, and sociable.  Their favorite colors are indigo, forest green, and maroon.  And they appreciate apples, audio books, baby's breath flowers, and cashews.

  4  Cancer, water sign, opposite is Capricorn:  Cancerians are loyal, nurturing, and sensitive.  Their favorite colors are blue, pastel green, and yellow.  And they adore almonds, cutlery, mini- rose bushes, and tulips.

  5  Leo, fire sign, opposite is Aquarius:  Leonines are athletic, creative, and leaders.  Their favorite colors are gold, purple, and red.  And they love autobiographies, cheese, marigold flowers, and marmalade.

 6 Virgo, earth sign, opposite is Pisces:  Virgoans are clean, discriminatory, and loyal.  Their favorite colors are beige, indigo, and pink.  And they cherish baskets, gardening accessories, herb plants, and mini-rose bushes.

 7  Libra, air sign, opposite is Aries:  Librans are gracious, harmonious, and sociable.  Their favorite colors are pink, green, and gold.  And they adore daisies, figs, music, and stationery sets.

  8  Scorpio, water sign, opposite is Taurus:  Scorpios are confident, intuitive, and passionate.  Their favorite colors are black, maroon, and purple.  And they appreciate candles, chocolate, massages, and pansy flowers.

  9 Sagittarius, fire sign, opposite is Gemini:  Sagittarians are affluent, fun-loving, and prophetic.  Their favorite colors are green, gold, and violet.  And they love all types of nuts, carrying cases, marmalade, and wild flowers.

  0  Capricorn, earth sign, opposite is Cancer:  Capricornians are ambitious, persistent, and utilize.  Their favorite colors are brown, linen, and yellow.  And they cherish berries, cheese, figurines, and iris flowers.

 -  Aquarius, air sign, opposite is Leo:  Aquarians are detached, independent, and sociable.  Their favorite colors are blue, burnt orange, and maroon.  And they appreciate bachelor button flowers, books, cheese, and oranges.

 =  Pisces, water sign, opposite is Virgo:  Pisceans are charitable, empathetic, and faithful.  Their favorite colors are gold, purple, and white.  And they love any of the spring flowers, massages, pedicures, and wind chimes.

   * A special note:  Mars is Retrograde, % R.  It went Retrograde R on December 20, 2009.  It will go Direct l on March 10, 2010.  What does that mean and how does it feel?  It means you feel as if you don't have enough energy to do everything you think you need to do.  Reexamine your "to do" list.  You'll be surprised how much bus-i-ness you've created!  Trim your list down to what truly needs to be done.
